In her third appearance at the Ruhr Piano Festival, Lise de la Salle will place dance at the centre of her programme and show the audience the spirited flair of Spain and South America with the “Danzas Argentinas” op. 2 by ALBERTO GINASTERA and the “Cantos de España” op. 232 by ISAAC ALBÉNIZ. The virtuoso B minor Sonata by Franz Liszt, which is particularly challenging for all pianists, forms the antithesis to this, alongside the Mephisto Waltz, and promises a great pianistic journey this evening. Lise de la Salle has been performing on the major international stages for over 15 years and has positioned herself as one of the leading musicians of her generation with unparalleled sensitivity and maturity.
