He is a penetrating, intellectual artist, who at the same time brings the music from the head to the legs and loves to combine the good old piano with electronics. This artist has deeply inhaled the spirit of innovation. Francesco Tristano comes to the Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche with Bach, Berio, Xenakis and his own works: “My Oscillate programme is a way I imagine a piano recital. Franz Liszt once invented this concert format in the second half of the 19th century. I am rethinking it in my present day. The piano recital should reflect the futuristic component of the instrument and be meaningful, indeed: relevant for the audience!”
