The 21-year-old Italian Giorgio Lazzari was the big winner of the renowned “Robert Schumann Competition For Young Pianists” in Düsseldorf, whose final took place on the first weekend of October 2021. Not only did the young pianist from Bergamo win 1st prize in his age group, but he was also awarded the prestigious special prize for the best interpretation of a work by Robert Schumann. Schumann will now also be the focus of his debut at the Ruhr Piano Festival: with his great F minor Sonata, a young pianist will be presenting himself at the festival of whom we are sure we will hear a lot more!
