As part of this year’s festival focus “1923: Music in the Age of Extremes”, you can immerse yourself in the music and art of the early 1920s in a three-part event format.

The introductory lecture will focus on the multi-layered relationships between the different art forms. This will be followed by a guided tour of the collection by Museum Folkwang staff. This will include an exclusive presentation of works from the Museum Folkwang’s depots that are usually not accessible to the public.

For the concluding recital, the Munich pianist Yaara Tal has prepared a multifaceted programme that will lead to different settings and promises many fascinating discoveries from the year 1923.
